In the summer of 2017, we made preparations for a backcountry adventure in Grand Teton National Park. While planning for our food, we looked at a lot of the freeze-dried and outdoor meals on the market. Most were laden with sodium and didn’t taste good.
With all the work and physical exertion that goes into an outbound adventure such as the one we were planning, we wanted to settle down at the end of a long day, surrounded by our loved ones and the awe inspiring vistas, and enjoy a delicious meal worthy of the experience. There were no such meals available commercially, so we took the matter into our own hands.
Combining many years of commercial kitchen experience, and our culinary influences from nearly a decade of living and traveling abroad, we crafted our own gourmet meals for the trip. They were a hit!
Since that time, we’ve spent over a year developing our recipes and refining our process so that you can enjoy our meals anywhere. Our food has been through many blind and field tests, and our meals are unrivaled for taste when compared to other freeze-dried foods.
